How is Label Direction and Orientation Important?
Label orientation is an important but occasionally overlooked factor that describes how your label rolls are to be packed.
The common considerations for label direction and orientation:
- Are the labels to be manually applied on the goods or are they going to be machine applied?
- If they are machine applied have you checked the machine before deciding orientation. Certain label applicators have specific orientations in which they operate.
- For manual label dispensers or label date coder it is important to check if the label is wound inside or outside based on the design of the labelling gun.
- For label printing machines such as Zebra or datamax, are the specifications of the model able to ensure the rolls will fit for overprinting
